How we make money

Companies pay us when someone completes an entry. A giveaway is advertising with a measurable cost per contact: a company gives away $500 and receives thousands of people who raised their hand. We are paid for making that introduction, which is why the site is free and why we have nothing to sell you.

It does not cost you anything, and it does not change your odds in any draw. It does mean you should read us the way you would read any paid listing, which is why the next section exists.

What we refuse to list

• Anything requiring a purchase or a fee to enter.
• App installs, downloads and free trials dressed up as giveaways.
• Gambling, betting, loan and credit-repair offers.

The filter is deliberately strict, and it rejects offers that would pay us. A page promising a giveaway and opening an app install is the fastest way to make this domain worthless. The full checklist lives at how we verify giveaways.

Why we cannot show you a winners wall

Companies run their own draws and do not tell us who won. We receive only an anonymous signal that an entry was completed, with no name, no location and no outcome attached. So we have no winner data, and we are not going to invent any.

If a site in this category shows you a stream of recent winners with names and cities, ask yourself where that data came from. Almost always the answer is a random name generator. When a company does confirm a winner to us, we will publish it and say who confirmed it.

How to check any giveaway yourself

• It names a company you can look up.
• It publishes official rules with an end date, a prize value and the odds or how they are determined.
• It is free to enter. No purchase necessary is a legal requirement in the US, not a courtesy.
• It never asks for payment to release a prize, and never asks for a card number, a PIN or a sign-in code.
