How a real notice arrives
Usually email to the address you entered with, sometimes post or phone for larger prizes, from the company named in the rules. It asks you to confirm eligibility and often to sign an affidavit. It asks for nothing else.
The response window is short
Rules commonly give winners a few days to respond before the prize is redrawn, and that clock starts whether or not you looked. Check the folder your entry mail lands in, and check spam, which is where most missed wins sit.
How to tell a fake
A fake win notice comes for a giveaway you never entered, comes from a free email address rather than a company domain, and always arrives at a request for money or card details. A real company deducts nothing and charges nothing.
