Is It Worth Entering Giveaways?
It depends entirely on what you are spending and what you expect. Neither of those is the prize amount, which is why most answers to this question are useless.
The real cost
A minute per entry, a permanently busier inbox, and your contact details in the hands of marketers who will keep them. That last one is a genuine cost and it does not reverse, which is the argument for a dedicated email address.
The real benefit
A small chance at a prize that is occasionally substantial, at no financial cost, with no obligation. For time you were spending in a queue, that is a reasonable trade. For time you could sell, it is not.
Who should skip it
Anyone treating it as a plan for a bill with a date on it. If money is short this month, the pages at /help/money-for-rent and /help/money-for-bills list programmes that actually move money, and they are worth more than every giveaway on this site combined.
